I can still remember those days when we prepared for the competition of Team Diplomatic Envoys. Before putting into practice, we worked hard to make props for the drama and recite those five lectures. The first thing about the lectures coming into my mind is that how long those are, maybe at that time I was shocked to know that we have to memorize a lot of words. However, the drama is rather easier to practice and act. Furthermore, it also has much flexibility to change and make it interesting. All in all, we tried hard to refine both drama and lectures, making them better and better.

During the process, I learnt a lot of daily and social English than I can learn in class. Memorizing the lectures makes me know more than I had learnt. In other words, it can make me use English in a more appropriate and vivid way. Practicing making speeches allows me to speak English more and more fluently, too. Besides, I also learnt a feeling of being a wonderful team. It’s great to cooperate with each other in a good way, which will never happen in the speech contests I had attended. I really feel that this team is the best one I’ve ever been in. I can finally realize that working in a team will be so fine. The friendship will be forever.

Overcoming the uphill struggles we had faced during the training, we eventually reached the award and achieved our goal of making the history for Hsin-Hua(laughing). And all I want to say is thank you. Thank you guys, because of you accompanying with me and being a cooperative team, we can return to school glorious. It is all of us that are responsible for the wining. I’m proud to be one of this team and a participant in this exciting competition. So, I’m here to say that the infinitely energetic spirit of youth spurred by the competition inside all of us, and the bond, the friendship between us, will be forever and ever.

Stepping out the familiar Taiwan, I was heading for the wonderland that I had never been, The New Zealand. This time was the second time going abroad. With fifteen-day trip ahead, I was a little bit fidgety. It was really tiring to take a red-eye flight. But it was all worthwhile at the thought of the green grassy NZ!

We started our learning trip in the second day after we arrived. It felt good to study with buddies, especially in the whole English environment. I got used to the circumstance easily and got along with them well. Every class had its uniqueness, different ways of teaching classes, which impressed me. For example, English teachers would ask students to write lectures and make speech on their own lectures. The social classes tested students with current trends and hot news. The PE teachers taught students how to play sports well and practice. They are all different from Taiwan, where we can only just sit on the chair, listening to what teachers say. However, out of my expectation, in the country speaking English lives a high percentage of Asian, coming from Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, China and more.

In addition, what remain fresh in my memories again and again in this trip are the well-designed and disciplined streets in both cities and counties. I also experience the completely zoning districts, the separation of the commercial and residential districts. Without many grocery stores and with many residential districts, it takes more than half an hour going to the nearest supermarket for buying some snacks. It was a life-changing experience for me.

But, what I enjoyed the most is the extremely pure green and the tranquil lifestyle, especially in the big city we visited, Auckland. The life there seemed easy and leisurely, even those plants are when I saw them swinging and facing the metropolis with their green. It is rarely seen in the developed countries, which we can learn from.

At first, I was excited about participating in the Model United Nations, thinking that speaking English all day long must be very interesting. Besides, I was nervous because I didn’t know what to prepare for and how serious the meeting would be. So, I came to the MUN with a complicated sense of feeling and a heart of uncertainty.

But after I arrived, I saw passions sparkling throughout the whole meeting place. Everybody seemed eager to give it a try and had achievements in this activity. Actually, I was encouraged and inspired to have more confidence. Without this precious experience, I wouldn’t even dare to give a speech in public in English and let other delegates retort on me openly and violently!

But I have also recognized that I’m not that excellent as there are other delegates who are much more brilliant than I am. Coming from the countryside of Chiyai City, I know less about the world outside, just like a frog in a well, with a very limited outlook. Through this adventure, I know I am still nobody and that I still have room to improve myself. Not only my self-awakening I have learned, but the rules of procedure, ways to handle important meetings. I believe that they will help me whenever I have the chance to take part in any kind of meetings. Another obtainment via this meeting is that I have made lots of genuine friends and broaden my horizons.

Thanks to MUN, I really had an unforgettable memory and a good time, including my first ball. I will keep the debates, the friendship and the enthusiasm during the whole three days in my mind forever and ever!

 【Dumb Ways to Die】
